I know this blog is normally smiles and hearts and rainbows. But sometimes, life happens. What’s bugging me isn’t as important as what to learn and how to grow from it so we will focus on that.
I wasn’t exactly planning for a blog post about a bad day, but I did find this recently
Now, on a 2-dimensional graphic, this makes us all nod our heads in agreement, but in the real deal, how does this hold up? Too often, the bad day burns the fuse to the bottom and before long, we’ve recast ourselves in a life of Greek tragedy with no end in sight. So, bad days, allowed. But don’t write it all off yet. You deserve better.
Along those lines, I was reminded today that life is 10% what you make it and 90% how you take it. If this is even close to true, this shifts the power to some degree from physical agility to mental agility. If we can mentally adapt to what comes our way we can feel a
sense of strength which is reinforcing.
The last thing to add is another good quote that says “give time some time.” So often we face disappointment and are ready to sweep it under the rug and move on. However, doing that means we miss the opportunity to learn and grow.
And when in doubt, make a really healthy meal of steak and veggies.
